Central Florida Hospitality Student Conference is a Success!
|
Last week’s High School Hospitality Conference for high school students was a big success. The event was organized by the Central Florida Hospitality Career Academies Advisory Board and nearly 100 students from thirteen Central Florida high schools attended the conference.
Each student had the opportunity to explore future careers within the hospitality industry, expanded their networks and heard from several industry leaders. This included CFHLA Board Historian and Managing Director of the Evermore Orlando Resort, Fred Sawyers, and CFHLA Director of Industry Relations & Community Impact, Melanie Anesh, who were the closing Keynote Speakers.
Each of them shared their career stories, information on CFHLA and its scholarship program, as well as video testimonials from local high school alumni who are working within the industry and continuing their education to prepare for hospitality careers.
As we look forward to 2026, CFHLA will continue to seek opportunities that promotes the hospitality industry among our local students, as an attractive, dynamic, and diverse industry which allows for significant development and career growth opportunities.

Tickets are $50 each, and only 250 tickets will be sold. One winner will claim the $4,000 at the upcoming CFHLA Hospitality Gala on December 13th, and you do not need to be present to win. The net proceeds from this raffle will benefit the CFHLA Foundation, a 501c3 organization.

Pride P.A.W.S Store Opens with Support from SimpleFire

CFHLA is excited to share that the Pride P.A.W.S. store has officially opened at Roberto Clemente Middle School! A special thank-you goes to our VIP Member SimpleFire, for their generous donations, which played a key role in bringing this incentive program to life.
Students were thrilled to explore the new store, which will motivate them to “Live the Code” and earn Pride P.A.W.S. to redeem for exciting rewards.
CFHLA sincerely appreciates SimpleFire’s continued partnership and commitment to supporting local students. Your contributions are making a meaningful impact, and we look forward to seeing this collaboration continue!

Partners in Action - re:fab Supports Longwood Elementary Through CFHLA's Adopt-A-School Program

CFHLA is also proud to recognize re:fab for their generous support of Longwood Elementary School as part of our Adopt-A-School initiative.
To kick off the partnership, re:fab donated turkeys to Longwood Elementary’s Thanksgiving Meal Drive, helping ensure families in need can enjoy a warm holiday meal.
