CFHLA Supports Community Donation
Drive for Venezuela Earthquake Relief
|
Like so many across our Central Florida community, we are heartbroken by the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela. Many members of our community and hospitality industry have friends, family members, and loved ones who have been impacted by this tragedy. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to everyone affected during this incredibly difficult time.
To support the relief efforts, Representative Johanna López is organizing a community donation drive to provide urgently needed supplies for those impacted.
If you are able, please consider supporting these families by donating any of the following items:
- First-aid kits (high need)
- Over-the-counter medications (high need)
- Baby supplies (high need)
- Bottled water
- Non-perishable food
- Blankets
- Pet supplies
- Hygiene products
- Feminine hygiene products
Donations may be dropped off at CG Plus Hoolance Insurance (5575 S. Semoran Blvd., Suite 1, Orlando, FL 32822) during the following hours (except July 4):
Monday–Friday | 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday | 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Every donation will help provide essential resources to families recovering from this devastating disaster. Donation items will be collected throughout July.
Together, we can help bring hope and critical resources to families as they begin the long road to recovery.

CFHLA is honored to recognize Scott Disson of the Courtyard Orlando Airport as our July Lodging Member of the Month. This recognition reflects Scott's outstanding leadership, dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to CFHLA and the Central Florida hospitality industry. Scott has actively participated in numerous CFHLA signature events over the years and has been a valued contributor to our Airport Area Lodging Leadership Meetings. He has also served on several CFHLA committees and councils, including the Adopt-A-School Committee, Membership Committee, and was recently appointed to the CFHLA Board of Directors. Scott's engagement, leadership, and willingness to share his time and expertise has strengthened both our organization and the hospitality industry.
We are also proud to recognize David Torres with Common Sense Office Furniture as our Allied Member of the Month. Over the past year, David has been a tremendous partner to CFHLA, and we are incredibly grateful for his support throughout our office relocation and renovation. From assisting with multiple office moves to helping us furnish our newly renovated space, David's expertise and dedication have played a significant role in creating an office our team is proud to call home.
