Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital 40th Anniversary

This week, several of our CFHLA members attended the 40th Anniversary celebration of Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital.

The full-service medical/ surgical center has served the residents of southwest Orange County and Orlando’s growing tourist population since 1985.

We proudly celebrate this milestone with our CFHLA VIP member, Orlando Health, and look forward to many more years of partnership as they continue caring and growing with our community!

2025 Florida Governor's Conference on Tourism

This week, we were also proud to join tourism and hospitality professionals, allied vendors, travel experts, educational partners, and state leaders at the 2025 Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism at our CFHLA member property, OMNI Orlando at ChampionsGate.

During the conference, we had the opportunity to welcome Bryan Griffin, the newly appointed President & CEO of VISIT FLORIDA, a CFHLA member. Bryan previously led communications for the Executive Office of the Governor, served as a national director for a prominent advocacy organization, and owned and managed both a real estate company and a craft beverage tap room in Tampa.

Additionally, we'd like to congratulate our members, Visit Orlando and Experience Kissimmee, on being honored with a 2025 Flagler Awards including:

🥉 Websites (Bronze): Visit Orlando for the VisitOrlando.com Redesign

🥈 Integrated Marketing Campaign (Silver): Experience Kissimmee for Experience Kissimmee, Southwest Airlines & Matador “Surprised by Kissimmee”

Furthermore, Governor Ron DeSantis attended the conference and spoke about the importance of having a thriving tourism and hospitality industry in the State of Florida.

Lastly, several of CFHLA's leaders joined many of our hospitality partners for a meeting with all of the Deans and Directors from hospitality management programs across Florida. For the past two years, CFHLA has been collaborating with these academic leaders to advance Hospitality Management as a Program of Strategic Emphasis in our state. This aligns with our CFHLA Organizational Strategic Plan, as we support our members by developing a talented, energized, and diverse workforce for tomorrow.

Thank you, VISIT FLORIDA, for inviting us to the conference this week!
