Final Board Meeting and Silver Partner Luncheon

This week, the CFHLA Board of Directors held its November Board Meeting and Silver Partnership Luncheon at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center. CFHLA would like to thank Clean Tec Outsourcing for their generous sponsorship of this important and final Board meeting of the year. Did you know that the Orange County Convention Center had a record breaking year in 2024 - 2025 with 184 total events and more than 2 Million attendees? This resulted in a $4.6 Billion in positive economic impact for our region!

Additionally, the CFHLA Board of Directors approved several organizational changes for 2026, and we look forward to sharing our newly elected CFHLA Board of Directors and leadership soon.

We are incredibly thankful for the strong leadership of our outgoing 2025 Board Chair Chris Mueller and looking forward to our incoming 2026 CFHLA Board Chair Jon McGavin beginning in January.

Valencia College Hosts Successful Grand Buffet

Each semester, students at Valencia College’s School of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management get the opportunity to showcase their talents at the grand buffet. Thank you, Valencia College, for the invitation to join family members and other community partners as we experienced their wonderful culinary skills and outstanding hospitality service provided by students, including several of our CFHLA Foundation scholarship recipients!

Partners in Action - Loews Hotels Connects with Colonial High School Hospitality Students
|
Colonial High School recently welcomed Landy Mitchell of Loews Hotels as a guest speaker for their hospitality program. Landy, who serves as a recruiter, shared valuable insights into the many entry-level opportunities available within the hospitality industry. Students learned about résumé building, transferable skills, and career pathways that can help them get started in the field. It was an engaging and inspiring session that left students excited about the possibilities ahead. CFHLA thanks Loews Hotels for supporting the next generation of hospitality talent!

Partners in Action - Summit Broadband partners with Leesburg Elementary in memory of teacher & students
|
Thank you to Summit Broadband who generously donated school supplies, magnolia trees, and commemorative plaques to Leesburg Elementary School. These donations were made in memory of three beloved members of their school community, a teacher and two students, who tragically passed away last year. These thoughtful tributes provide a lasting way for the school to honor their lives and legacy.
